As preparations gather pace for the emergency parliamentary sitting on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill (CAB3), ZANU-PF Chief Whip Pupurai Togarepi has called all ZANU-PF Members of Parliament to a caucus meeting on Monday, 29 June 2026.
The caucus comes a day before Parliament convenes for the extraordinary sitting summoned by President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to deliberate on the six amendments made by the Senate to CAB3.
The meeting is expected to align the ruling party’s legislators ahead of the debate and voting process in the National Assembly.
Once the National Assembly considers and, if it agrees, adopts the Senate’s amendments, the Bill will be forwarded to the President for assent before it can become law.
