Police are investigating the death of an adult from Murisa Village in Seke following a reported procedure for a goitre at a home in Unit D, Chitungwiza.
Police removed the body from the property on Friday.
The cause of death has not been officially established, and details about the person who reportedly performed the procedure, including their identity and whereabouts, remain unconfirmed.
Resident Tawanda Musona said he heard about the incident at around 7pm on Thursday.
He said he was told that the person performing the procedure had left to buy medicine after the patient began bleeding and had not returned.
Musona did not witness that exchange.
Another resident, Amai Musindo, said she had previously seen people leave the property wearing plasters. She said she did not know why they had visited the home. Police have not confirmed whether any earlier medical procedures took place there.
Chitungwiza police officers confirmed the incident and said authorised officials would provide further details to the public and media. The investigation is continuing.
