Dynamos Eye Third Straight Chibuku Title in Gibbo Showdown

Harare giants Dynamos are preparing to defend their Chibuku Super Cup title for the third year running, with a showdown against Triangle United set for Saturday at Gibbo Stadium.

The match is expected to be a blockbuster finale as both teams eye a strong finish to difficult seasons.

Despite a turbulent campaign in which they narrowly escaped relegation on the final day, Dynamos now see the Chibuku Super Cup as a chance to salvage pride and end the year on a high.

Head coach Kelvin Kaindu says the cup remains the club’s most achievable goal.

“Our preparations for the Chibuku Super Cup final are going well. We have no suspensions, but Wisdom Mutasa and Denver Mukamba who have not been attending training are not available for selection.

Triangle will have the advantage of playing at home, and they are an unpredictable side. It’s a cup final, and both teams only just survived relegation, so it won’t be an easy match.

Their coach knows Dynamos well and has previously won this tournament, so he understands what it takes. It has been a tough season for us, fighting relegation until the last day. Winning this cup and maintaining our unbeaten run under my tenure would be a strong finish for us.”

Dynamos have not lost a match since Kaindu took over, and lifting the trophy would serve as a fitting reward for their late-season resurgence.
