Jilted Lover Exposes Affair, Triggers US$40,000 Property Fraud Probe
A love triangle in Harare has taken a dramatic turn after a disgruntled lover allegedly exposed an adulterous relationship and linked his partner to a suspected US$40,000 real estate fraud.
The matter came to light after Rosati Herman Imran (47) reportedly contacted Simbarashe Sanyanga (45) to reveal that he had been involved in an affair with Simbarashe’s wife, Edelyn Sanyanga (46).
During the call, Rosati allegedly went further, accusing Edelyn of secretly selling a residential stand in Damafalls without her husband’s knowledge. He claimed the property was sold for US$40,000 to Keith Tafadzwa Katewera, who is said to have paid US$10,000 as a deposit.
Simbarashe, who had reportedly been outside the country for some time, later approached local authorities in Damafalls to verify the status of the property. He was allegedly informed that the stand had indeed been sold.
Following the revelations, Edelyn is reported to have gone missing after realising that both the affair and the alleged property transaction had been exposed.
Confirming the case, Luckmore Chakanza, the Harare spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police, said investigations were underway.
“Police are investigating a fraud case involving a married couple, with a total value of US$40,000. The suspect is yet to be arrested,” he said.

“Dear H-Metro Editor,
I am writing to express my outrage and disappointment at the false and defamatory article published about me, Herman Imran Rosati. The article inaccurately portrays me as a jilted lover, which is completely untrue.
In reality, I was a victim of Edeline Sanyanga’s fraudulent activities, including her use of a fake South African passport and ID, and her attempt to sell the marital house without her husband’s knowledge. I paid her fine in South Africa and ended the affair upon discovering her deceitful actions.
Furthermore, Simbarashe Sanyanga has been involved in bigamy, marrying a Chinese national named Joy in China while still married to Edeline. He is now attempting to cover up his own wrongdoings by spreading false allegations about me.
I have evidence of the bigamy, including the Chinese marriage certificate, and documentation of Edeline’s fraudulent activities, including the forged Power of Attorney used to attempt to sell the marital house.
The article’s claims that I was jilted are malicious and baseless. In fact, Edeline Sanyanga terminated a 4-month pregnancy without my consent, which is a traumatic experience for me.
I demand an immediate correction and apology for the harm caused to my reputation. I also request that you publish the true facts of the case, including Edeline Sanyanga’s fraudulent activities and Simbarashe Sanyanga’s bigamy.
Sincerely,
Herman Imran Rosati”
