The University of Zimbabwe (UZ), Flats in Avondale were engulfed in flames this morning following a suspected gas tank explosion.
Fortunately, no casualties were recorded, although the fire caused extensive property damage.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene and successfully brought the blaze under control.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
