Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Kazembe Kazembe, has praised Exodus &Company for its work on the dualisation of the Harare–Kanyemba Highway, describing the local firm’s performance as a shining example of Zimbabwean excellence in infrastructure development.
Speaking to Hurumende News Hub on the sidelines of the 2026 Mashonaland Central Investment Dialogue at Baradzanwa Cultural Centre, Kazembe said Exodus & Company had demonstrated that local contractors possess the capacity, expertise and commitment to deliver projects of national significance.
“The quality of work being carried out by Exodus & Company is impressive and reflects the capabilities that exist within our own country.
This project embodies President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision that ‘Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo’ – a nation is built by its own people,” said Kazembe.
He commended the company for the pace at which construction is progressing, noting that the project is not only improving transport infrastructure but also creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic activity along the route.
Kazembe said the successful execution of the project by a Zimbabwean-owned company should inspire confidence in local firms and encourage greater participation by indigenous businesses in major national development projects.
The Harare–Kanyemba Highway dualisation project, which commenced in 2024, is expected to transform connectivity between Mashonaland Central Province and regional markets.
Once completed, the road will enhance the movement of people, goods and services while opening new opportunities for investment, tourism and cross-border trade.
Stakeholders believe the project will serve as a catalyst for economic growth in the province, with Exodus Company playing a key role in delivering one of Zimbabwe’s most strategic infrastructure developments.
