President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Geo Pomona Waste Management Company Executive Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, as his Special Advisor on Waste Management.
The appointment places Dr Nguwaya in an advisory role to the President on matters relating to waste management, environmental sustainability, and the development of strategies aimed at improving waste collection, disposal, recycling, and the country’s broader environmental management systems.
Dr Nguwaya currently serves as Executive Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Geo Pomona Waste Management, the company behind the Pomona waste-to-energy project in Harare.
