The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has appointed Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani as its new Deputy Chairperson, a position he will hold until November 2027.
Mukuhlani, who represents Zimbabwe Cricket on the ICC Board, takes over from Imran Khwaja, who recently left the Board.
The Zimbabwean cricket administrator already serves on the ICC Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee and the Nominations Committee, while also chairing the HR and Remuneration Committee.
His appointment comes as Zimbabwe prepares to co-host the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup with South Africa and Namibia.
The tournament will mark the return of the men’s World Cup to Africa after 24 years and is expected to provide another platform for the development and expansion of cricket on the continent.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah congratulated Mukuhlani on his appointment, highlighting his experience in cricket administration and knowledge of the game.

Mukuhlani said he was honoured by the confidence shown in him by his fellow Board members.
