ZIFA President’s Wife Boosts Mighty Warriors With Pre-Tournament Donation
The Mighty Warriors received a timely morale boost on Wednesday after Nqobile Magwizi, the wife of ZIFA President Lincoln Magwizi, donated toiletries to the squad ahead of their departure for Malawi for the three-nations women’s football tournament.
Magwizi, who led the delegation, was accompanied by ZIFA Vice-President Loveness Mukura and General Secretary Yvonne Manwa. The trio met the players before their trip, offering encouragement as the team prepares to represent Zimbabwe in the invitational competition.
The gesture comes as the Mighty Warriors continue to navigate limited resources while preparing for international assignments. ZIFA officials said the donation was meant to support the team’s welfare and show solidarity as they head into battle.
The Mighty Warriors are expected to leave for Lilongwe today, where they will face hosts Malawi and Zambia in the regional tournament.
