ZRP Release Photos of Suspected Killer Linked to Guruve Family Murders

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released photographs of a man believed to be behind the brutal killing of five members of the same family at Ona Farm in Guruve, Mashonaland Central Province.

The suspect has been identified as Anymore Zvitsva, also known as Modho (32), of Bangira Village, Mutsami Kraal, under Chief Chipuriro in Guruve. Police say Zvitsva is currently at large and is being actively sought in connection with the gruesome incident, which occurred on Thursday last week.

According to police, Zvitsva is the prime suspect in the murder of five relatives, whose bodies were discovered at Ona Farm under circumstances described as violent and deeply disturbing. The victims have been named as Grace Zvitsva (66), Loice Chiringaushe (37), Takudzwa Kariva (5), Tatenda Chirenje (2), and Tendai Zvitsva (40).

In a statement, the ZRP appealed to members of the public to assist with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect. Police warned that Zvitsva may be dangerous and advised the public not to confront him directly.

“Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect should report to the nearest police station immediately,” the ZRP said. “Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and avoid engaging the suspect.”

The motive behind the killings has not yet been disclosed, and investigations are ongoing. The incident has sent shockwaves through the Guruve community, with residents expressing fear and disbelief over the loss of multiple lives, including young children.

Police have intensified patrols and investigations in and around Guruve as the manhunt continues. The ZRP has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the suspect is apprehended and brought to justice.
