Magaya Team Rejects Gono Land Allegations, Dares State to Prove It

Prophet Magaya’s lawyers have denied claims that he sold land belonging to Dr Gideon Gono, challenging the state to present evidence of any such transactions.

They argue that Magaya and his wife own their own land, backed by valid title deeds, and say the allegations are baseless.

O’Level Results Are Now Out

Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) has published the 2025 November Ordinary Level examination results with the national pass rate rising to thirty-five (35) percent there by marking a third year of sustained improvement.

The pass rate for the November 2025 ‘O’ level examinations was 35 %, up from 33.19 percent in 2024

Speaking to the press this afternoon, Zimsec board chair Prof Paul Mapfumo announced the results will go live on the Zimsec portal at 4 pm today and will be available there for the next five days.

“The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council board and management would like to advise the nation of the release of the 2025 November Ordinary Level examination results,” he said

As of today, 16 January 2026, 4 pm, Ordinary Level exam results will be available online via the Zimsec portal (www.zimsec.co.zw) for candidates and authorised personnel

“Please take note that this portal will be open for five days only. Heads of examination centres will be able to collect the results for their respective schools or centres from our regional offices on Monday, 19 January 2026,” said Prof Mapfumo.

ZIMSEC has faced issues with exam paper leaks in the past, which threatened to undermine public trust. However, the council successfully conducted the latest assessments without a hitch.
