A devastating fire broke out at a building located at the corner of Cameron and Charter Road in Harare earlier today. Fortunately, thanks to the swift response of the Harare fire brigade team, the blaze was contained before it could spread to neighboring structures.

Eyewitnesses reported that people at the premises initially tried to handle the situation themselves before alerting the fire department. This delay could have had disastrous consequences, but thankfully, the firefighters arrived in time to prevent major damage.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of fire safety and preparedness. Building owners and occupants must take proactive measures to prevent such incidents, including conducting regular fire drills, ensuring functional fire extinguishers, and maintaining clear emergency exit routes.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation. This latest incident follows a string of building fires in Harare, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and adherence to fire safety protocols.
