H.E. President @edmnangagwa rejects the resolution proposing that he extends his rule to 2030. This was announced by Cde Patrick Chinamasa while presenting the final resolutions made at the 21st ZANU PF National Conference in Bulawayo. Following lobbying by some Party wings that he extends his term to 2030, the President has repeatedly emphasized that he is a constitutionalist and will abide by what it says. The Constitution provides for two terms.

Earlier on, the President led a Tree Planting ceremony in Bulawayo as part of the ongoing ZANU (PF)‘S 21st National People’s Conference. He was accompanied by the First Lady, Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa, who is the Environment and Tourism Patron.

The  two Vice Presidents and Amai Miniyothabo Chiwenga, as well as senior Party officials, also planted trees along with the President and First Lady. The venue of the Tree Planting Ceremony is set to become a recreational park.

The tree planting ceremony has, over the years, become one of the highlights of the annual ZANU(PF) conferences as a way of encouraging party members and the Nation at large to intensify efforts to conserve the environment. The President planted the Mukweshangoma/lmpaca/Wisteria tree.
