ZANU-PF Conference begins in Bulawayo

THE Zanu PF Annual National People’s Conference which will begin from today Tuesday, under the theme ‘Industrialise and Modernise Towards the Attainment of Vision 2030’ at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo.
It will kick start with the convening of the Politburo meeting in Harare this Tuesday, October 22, the Conference is expected to take stock of the economy, party policies, and also tackle climate change, among other issues.
This will be followed by the Central Committee meeting tomorrow at the party’s headquarters in Harare.
Delegates are then expected to travel to Bulawayo, to the venue of the conference, soon after the Central Committee meeting.
On Friday, October 25 the conference will be officially opened by, Zanu PF First Secretary, President Mnangagwa and the opening of the conference will coincide with the SADC Anti Sanctions Day.
The SADC Chairman, President Dr. Mnangagwa is expected to give his key note address thereafter. Saturday, October 26 we will see the official closing of the ceremony by Zanu PF First Secretary, President Dr. Mnangagwa.
The conference is held on a rotational basis, with Midlands Province having hosted the conference in Gweru last year.
