ZANU-PF Pledges Environmental Sustainability

Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU-PF, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to prioritize environmental sustainability, and safeguarding natural resources for future generations. At the 21st Annual National People’s Conference, key resolutions tackled environmental concerns.
Developmental projects will prioritize sustainability, minimizing environmental impact. Riverbed mining bans will be enforced, accelerating de-siltation programs through license cancellations and equipment confiscation.
Air rescue services will mitigate human-wildlife conflict. Policies managing human-wildlife conflict will be implemented, protecting both humans and wildlife.
Gastronomy Tourism will boost employment and revenue, alongside Township Tourism. Alternative ivory value unlocking methods will fund wildlife management and community development.
Climate-proofing programs will accelerate, mitigating climate change’s effects. Nationwide environmental management will intensify, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
ZANU-PF pledged to ensure effective implementation, demonstrating commitment to environmental stewardship. These initiatives align with President Mnangagwa’s transformative development programs, empowering Zimbabwe’s future.
The conference, attended by over 4,000 delegates, fostered robust discussions on the party’s performance and future direction. Environmental sustainability is now a priority in Zimbabwe’s development agenda.
