Nothando Banana, a 35-year-old woman from Bulawayo, has been sentenced to six years in prison for stealing US$24,400 from her employer during the chaos of an armed robbery.

The incident occurred on 15 October 2024, when a gang of armed men stormed her workplace, stealing US$32,500. Amid the panic, Banana took advantage of the situation and helped herself to an extra US$24,400.
