Zimbabwe Storm to 4x400m Gold at Maseru Meet
Team Zimbabwe produced a commanding display on the track, clinching gold in the men’s 4x400m relay at the Maseru International Meet with an impressive time of 3:03.55, overcoming difficult weather conditions to underline their growing pedigree on the regional stage.
The quartet of Gerren Muwishi, who captained the side, alongside Thandazani Ndlovu, Dennis Hove and Leeford Zuze, combined seamlessly to outpace their rivals in a race that tested both speed and endurance due to unfavourable conditions. Despite the challenges, the Zimbabwean team maintained composure and executed their race strategy to perfection, signaling strong form ahead of major upcoming assignments.
Their victory in Maseru not only adds to Zimbabwe’s athletics momentum but also serves as a timely confidence boost as the team shifts focus to the Lefika International Relays. The event presents a crucial opportunity for qualification to the World Relays set for Gaborone in May, a key global competition that could further elevate Zimbabwe’s status in relay events.
With momentum on their side and a well-balanced squad, expectations will be high for Team Zimbabwe to build on this success as they continue their push towards international qualification and recognition.

Pressure Cooker Weekend as PSL Log Takes Center Stage
The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League explodes into life this weekend with Matchday 4 fixtures that could already begin to shape the early-season narrative and if the current log standings are anything to go by, the drama is only just getting started.
With the table still tightly packed and no clear runaway leader yet, every point now carries extra weight. The gap between early pacesetters and the chasing pack remains razor-thin, turning this round into a potential turning point rather than just another set of fixtures.
Saturday’s action sets the tone, with traditional giants and ambitious underdogs all stepping into the spotlight. CAPS United, who have shown early promise in the standings, face a tricky test against a stubborn Hardrock side. Across the country, Simba Bhora and Highlanders renew a contest that could shake up the top half of the table, a fixture that rarely lacks intensity or late drama.
But it’s Sunday where things could truly boil over.
MWOS FC, still fighting to climb out of the lower end of the standings after last season’s struggles, face a Bulawayo Chiefs side desperate to prove they belong among the early contenders. It’s a clash of urgency versus ambition and neither side can afford to blink.
At Rufaro, Scottland FC host FC Hunters in a match that already feels like a must-win despite the season being young. With both sides hovering around mid-table, this is less about three points and more about sending a message: we are not here to make up the numbers.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Agama FC vs Dynamos, a fixture dripping with pressure. Dynamos, expected to challenge for top honours, cannot afford a slip if they are to keep pace with the early leaders. Agama, on the other hand, will see this as the perfect chance to disrupt the script and inject chaos into the standings.
And just when fans think the weekend is over, Monday delivers one more twist.
Herentals College take on Triangle United in a clash that could quietly reshape the log. Herentals, already showing flashes of dominance, have the chance to stamp authority early, while Triangle will be out to prove they are no pushovers.
The log standings you shared earlier tell a simple story: no one is safe, and no one is out of reach. A single win can lift a team into contention and one bad result can drag them into early trouble.
The Funny Side of It All, at this stage of the season, even the log table is confused.
Teams sitting top are already dreaming of the trophy.
Mid-table sides are calculating permutations like it’s Matchday 30.
And those at the bottom? Already talking about “we’ll bounce back” in March.
Final Word: This isn’t just Matchday 4, it’s an early warning shot.
The title race whispers.
The relegation battle stirs.
And the log standings? They’re watching… ready to flip at any moment.

Warriors Set to Camp in Bulawayo Ahead of Four Nations Tournament
The Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors, are scheduled to assemble in Bulawayo on Sunday as preparations begin for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament to be held in Botswana later this month.
The regional competition will feature Zimbabwe alongside hosts Botswana, Zambia and Malawi, with matches set to take place in Francistown during the FIFA international window from March 28 to March 31.
Players are expected to report for camp in Bulawayo where the technical team will conduct a five-day training programme before the squad departs for Botswana on Thursday.
Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) spokesperson Mike Madoda confirmed the arrangements, stating that the training camp is part of the team’s build-up to the invitational tournament.
Madoda also revealed that an open media session will be organised during camp, allowing journalists to interact with the coaching staff and selected players.
The Warriors are utilising the FIFA break to evaluate player combinations and strengthen the squad as they prepare for upcoming qualification campaigns, following a below-par performance at the Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Morocco.
