A Harare family has been plunged into turmoil after a mother and her adult daughter reportedly became involved in relationships with the same man, leading to a serious domestic dispute marked by mistrust, health concerns, and emotional strain.
The mother said she had been in a long-term relationship with the man, who allegedly later began seeing her daughter while she was temporarily away from home. She further stated that the man had previously been assisting with the daughter’s school fees.
She expressed concern over her health status and the risk of possible infection, warning that the situation could have wider health implications within the family.
The mother also revealed that she was previously married to the daughter’s father, who left years ago and has not been in contact since.
According to the mother, she has asked her daughter to leave the home and become independent, but the daughter has refused.
The daughter confirmed she was aware that the man had been involved with her mother before entering into a relationship with him. She, however, said she would not end the affair unless her mother provides information about her estranged father’s whereabouts.
Tensions between the two remain high, with the situation straining already fragile family relations.
