Aura Group licensed as an official distributor of Starlink

The Government’s commitment to expanding access to high speed satellite internet across Zimbabwe has seen a local  Information Communication Technology Solutions provider being licensed to sell Starlink. Aura Group has been licensed as an official distributor of Starlink in Zimbabwe. 

The Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services (ICT), Member of Parliament for Chikomba West Constituency Dr. Tatenda Mavetera, said, “improving access to connectivity will be key for the attainment of vision 2030 and with the introduction of low earth orbit satellite technology, such as Starlink, represents a transformative opportunity for Zimbabwe’s underserved and marginalized communities.”

Dr. T. A. Mavetera confirmed that the government plans to licence additional Starlink  resellers in the near future. 

The Aura Group of Companies consisting of 18 dynamic companies based in Zimbabwe and operating across various business segments. 

Arura Group went on to donate standard Starlink kits plus three months subscription vouchers to various government institutions such as hospitals, state universities and colleges. The Group will also donate  to other institutions selected by the Minister ICT.
