BREAKING NEWS: ZANU PF Director General Ezekiel Zabanyana Fired

The ruling ZANU PF party has announced the immediate termination of Brigadier General (Retired) Ezekiel Zabanyana’s employment as Director General of the Party.

In an official communication dated October 9, 2025, and signed by the party’s Secretary General, Hon. Cde Advocate J.F.N. Mudenda, Zabanyana was informed that the decision had been made under the directive of His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of the Party.

“I hereby inform you that His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of the Party, has directed that your position as the ZANU PF Director General be terminated immediately,” the letter stated.

The correspondence further expressed appreciation for Zabanyana’s service to the party and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.

“Meanwhile, the Party tenders its gratitude for all your rendered services and wishes you well in your future endeavours in life,” wrote Mudenda.

The letter also directed Zabanyana to liaise with the Treasurer General’s office regarding the computation of his terminal benefits.

The dismissal marks a significant development within ZANU PF’s top administrative ranks, though no official reason for the termination was cited in the letter.

Neither the Office of the President and First Secretary nor ZANU PF’s communications department had issued further comment at the time of publication.
