The  Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Mangaliso Ndhlovu, challenged Bulawayo’s business community to take ownership of the city’s cleanliness and aesthetic appeal during a business breakfast meeting held in Bulawayo.

“We want to see a change in the way our cities are maintained. We need collective effort to keep Bulawayo clean,” Honourable Ndhlovu emphasized.

The Minister, accompanied by Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs, Judith Ncube, encouraged business owners and taxi operators to adopt streets initiative in the Central Business District (CBD) to enhance the city’s beauty.

“We are calling upon the business community to take ownership of specific streets and maintain them. This will not only improve the city’s appearance but also promote community pride,” Minister Ndhlovu said.

Minister Ncube added, “As the city’s leaders, we cannot do it alone. We need the private sector’s support to restore Bulawayo’s glory.”

“We welcome this initiative and are committed to working with the government to improve Bulawayo’s appearance,” said Mr. Mthulisi Ncube, Bulawayo Chamber of Commerce Secretary-General.

By working together, Bulawayo’s business community and government aim to restore the city’s former glory and create a thriving economic hub.
