October Football Frenzy: Zimbabwe’s National Teams Take Center Stage”

October is shaping up to be an exciting month for Zimbabwean football fans! The action kicks off with the Zimbabwe U20 men’s team, also known as the Young Warriors, competing in the Afcon U20 COSAFA Qualifier.
They’ll face off against an opponent yet to be confirmed in the semifinals on October 3, and if they win, they’ll play in the tournament final on October 5 and also qualify for the U20 AFCON.
Next up, the senior men’s team, the Warriors, will take center stage with their 2025 Afcon Qualifiers. They’ll play Namibia in back-to-back games, with Namibia hosting the first match on October 10 at 3 p.m Central African Time (CAT), and Zimbabwe hosting the second match on October 14 at 6 p.m CAT.
Later in the month, the focus shifts to the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, which will feature locally-based players. The first round of qualifiers is scheduled for October 25-27.
