President Mnangagwa Unveils Vision for Economic Transformation at ZEDCON 2024

President Emmerson Mnangagwa officially opened the 2024 Zimbabwe Economic Development Conference (ZEDCON) at Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls yesterday, outlining a compelling vision for economic transformation and resilience in the face of climate change.
In his keynote address,He emphasized the critical role of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and development. He highlighted the government’s strategic initiatives to promote industrialization, value chain development, and sustainable practices.
“We must harness the power of innovation to unlock opportunities for sustainable economic growth and development,Our focus is on building a resilient economy that benefits all Zimbabweans, creating jobs, and improving living standards.”President Mnangagwa stressed.
The conference, themed “Building Resilience and Driving Economic Transformation under Climate Change,” brought together experts, policymakers, business leaders, and academics to share knowledge, ideas, and solutions for climate-proofing Zimbabwe’s economy.
He also emphasized the significance of regional cooperation and international partnerships in achieving economic transformation. President Mnangagwa encouraged investors to explore opportunities in Zimbabwe’s key sectors.
“Zimbabwe is open for business,We offer a conducive investment environment, competitive incentives, and a skilled workforce.”he reassured.
ZEDCON 2024 aims to contribute to Zimbabwe’s economic transformation and growth, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient future.
