ZANU PF Youths Suspended for Abusing Presidential Empowerment Initiative

TWO Zanu PF Youth in Mashonaland West have been suspended by the Youth League leaders, after they sold two heifers donated under Presidential Heifer pass-on scheme by His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

The alleged two Cdes are Stembeni Madzima and Marina Phiri who are part of the 88 youths who received the heifers in Chegutu, Mashonaland West last week. 

It is alleged that the two after receiving the heifer did not waste time but went straight to find potential buyers and convinced the buyers and bought at  giveaway prices. 

Security intelligence are working round the clock to sniff information of other possible culprits among who had become accustomed to selling agricultural inputs they get for free and pieces of land for empowering young people. 

The Presidential Heifer Pass-on Scheme is meant to boost both economic independence, national livestock production to ensure food security  for vulnerable people especially in rural areas with beneficiaries expected to pass on calves produced by the heifers to other farmers for the  continuity of the programme. 

The Beneficiaries of the program have expressed gratitude to the President,  describing the scheme as a life changing venture.
