Zimbabwe On Track to Reach 600,000 Metric Tonnes Wheat Harvest Target

Mashonaland West, 26 September 2024, Zimbabwe – In an exciting development for the country’s agricultural sector, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Dr. Anxious Masuka, announced today that Zimbabwe is well on its way to achieving its ambitious wheat harvest target of 600,000 metric tonnes.

During an inspection tour of wheat harvesting operations in Mashonaland West, Minister Masuka expressed optimism about the progress made so far. The minister’s visit aimed to assess the crop’s performance and identify areas for improvement. 

Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development has implemented various initiatives to boost agricultural production. 

As the country strives to achieve its wheat harvest target, Minister Masuka’s inspection tour underscores the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring a bumper harvest.
