Empowering Future Leaders: President Mnangagwa Presides Over Chinhoyi University’s 20th Graduation Ceremony

Chinhoyi University of Technology reached a significant milestone today as President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the university’s Chancellor, presided over its 20th Graduation Ceremony, honoring 3180 outstanding graduands.

“This momentous occasion marks a major achievement in the lives of our graduands.As you embark on your next journey, remember that your education is a powerful tool for transforming our nation,”President Mnangagwa emphasized.

The graduating class comprised 1665 male and 1515 female graduates, showcasing the university’s commitment to gender equality and academic excellence. Chinhoyi University Vice Chancellor, Professor David Simbi, praised the graduates: “You have demonstrated exceptional resilience and dedication. Go forth and make a positive impact in your communities.”

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, faculty members, family, and friends, all celebrating the graduands’ remarkable achievement. Zimbabwe’s Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Amon Murwira, highlighted the importance of education in driving national development.

“Education is the backbone of our nation’s growth,” Professor Murwira noted. “Chinhoyi University of Technology has consistently produced talented individuals who are driving innovation and progress in various sectors.”

As the graduands begin their next chapter, they are poised to make meaningful contributions to Zimbabwe’s development. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
