Empowering the Next Generation of Storytellers: 45 Students Graduate from ZIFTESSA

In a milestone ceremony, 45 talented students graduated from the Zimbabwe Institute of Film and Television Studies of Southern Africa (ZIFTESSA) with Diplomas in Film and Television Production.

ZIFTESSA, operated by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services (@InfoMinZW), aims to equip local filmmakers with the skills to tell Zimbabwe’s stories, promoting cultural preservation and national identity.

The graduating class showcased exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. Their graduation marks a significant step towards revitalizing Zimbabwe’s film industry.

Guest of honor, Minister Monica Mutsvangwa, emphasized the importance of local storytelling: “Our stories shape our identity and values. ZIFTESSA graduates will play a vital role in sharing Zimbabwe’s narrative with the world.”

ZIFTESSA Director, Mr. Rungano Nyoni, praised the graduates: “You have demonstrated remarkable passion and growth. Go forth and tell our stories with pride and authenticity.”

The graduates are poised to make their mark in the industry, producing high-quality content that reflects Zimbabwe’s diverse experiences.
