President Mnangagwa Launches Mine Entra 2024, Boosting Zimbabwe’s Mining Sector

The 27th edition of Zimbabwe’s premier mining, engineering, and transport expo, Mine Entra 2024, officially opened today at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo. President Emmerson Mnangagwa graced the occasion, underscoring the government’s commitment to developing the country’s mining sector.

This year’s event has attracted a record 255 exhibitors, including international participants from China, India, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa. The expo showcases the latest technologies and solutions for the mining industry, ranging from heavy engineering equipment to protective wear.

President Mnangagwa emphasized the importance of innovation and community engagement in the mining sector. He encouraged young Zimbabweans to drive innovation, leveraging technology for development. The President also stressed that the industry’s benefits should extend beyond extraction to positively impact local communities.

The expo provides a platform for industry professionals to network and discuss the latest developments in the mining sector. With its diverse product showcase and international participation, Mine Entra 2024 is poised to unlock the sector’s full potential. 

The event runs until October 11 and is open to industry professionals, engineers, CEOs, government representatives, and stakeholders. Entry is free.
