ZANU-PF Honors Heritage with Cultural and Religious Resolutions

Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU-PF, has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving the country’s rich cultural heritage and religious traditions. At the party’s 21st Annual National People’s Conference, key resolutions were adopted to honor Zimbabwe’s history and promote national unity.

ZANU-PF recognized the pivotal role Spirit Mediums played in the First and Second Chimurenga Wars, resolving to memorialize their contributions. This acknowledgment highlights the significance of spiritual leadership in Zimbabwe’s liberation struggles. 

The party pledged to refurbish and maintain National, Provincial, and District Heroes Shrines, ensuring these sacred sites remain dignified and revered. Veterans of the Liberation Struggle will receive enhanced recognition at State Occasions. 

Statues of national heroes will be erected in provinces, immortalizing their legacies. An annual National Bira will be conducted in collaboration with traditionalists, fostering spiritual connection.

The Chiefs’ regalia will be reviewed to reflect Zimbabwe’s vibrant culture and national ethos. These resolutions demonstrate ZANU-PF’s dedication to honoring Zimbabwe’s heritage and promoting cultural understanding. 

The conference, attended by over 4,000 delegates, showcased the party’s commitment to Zimbabwe’s rich history and cultural diversity. By embracing the past, ZANU-PF shapes a brighter future for the nation.
