FCV/VY4ED donates to Binga Communities

The Foundation for the Care of Vulnerables (FCV)/(VY4ED) has launched a comprehensive assistance programme for the vulnerable in the society in Binga. FCV/VY4ED donated food hampers to the vulnerable and people living with disabilities. The programme is inline with, His Excellency, the President of Zimbabwe Cde Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.

FCV/VY4ED programme was attended  by Matabeleland North ZANU-PF Provincial Chairman for youth, Social Welfare, OPC, ZRP Binga Representative and District Development Council. The Food humper distribution is targeting children’s homes and homes for people living with disabilities. Matabeleland North Province is the 3rd province to benefit from such a programme initiated by FCV/VY4ED. 

Founder of FCV/VY4ED Cde Dalubuhle Nzangane Moyo said,”the Foundation is still looking for more partnerships so as to ensure sustainable support to the under-privileged members of society. Two children’s homes in Binga have received consignments comprising monthly essential groceries as per Orphanages’ budget.” 

Kabwe Children’s home with a total of 19 children received 180kgs of Mealie-meal, 40kgs rice, 40kgs flour,  20loaves of bread, 2kgs of cereal, 60kgs Sugar, Macaroni 9kgs, Spaghetti 24x400g, Cooking oil 32ltrs, Soup 5boxes, Salt 10kgs, Beef 20kgs, Chicken 8kgs, Sugar beans 12tins, Sweets 1 pack, Biscuits 5kgs and snacks 6 packets. 

Sunrise Children’s home  with 13 kids also received a monthly supply of food stuffs, toiletries and stationary. The donation included; mealie-meal 80kgs, Beef 25kgs, Chicken 10birds, Macaroni 3kgs, Spaghetti 20units, cooking oil 32ltrs, Sugar 20kgs, peanut butter 300gx6tins, bread 4dozen,Jam 400gx4tins, Crenorq 750g x 4 boxes, biscuits 16kgs, soft drinks 4 crates, Mazoe 20ltrs, popcorn 10units, mayonnaise 4bottles, potatoes 2 packets, tomatoes 1 bucket, Onion 1 pocket, Royco 2 boxes and Tomato Sauce 6 bottles. 

The Provincial Chairman for Youth Matabeleland North, Cde  Alvin Lundy Sinzeka applauded the FCV/VY4ED for putting a smile on the faces of the Children and thanked His Excellency, President, Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa for his open door policy and leaving no one behind towards Vision 2030. 

Cde Dalubuhle added “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Speaking after the donations at Sunrise Children’s Home, Mrs Siyapinda said, “I am filled with gratitude, with what I have witnessed today and we call this love. The bible says blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives, may FCV/VY4ED never tie in doing good”. 

Despite the challenges faced by the country with severe El Niño-induced drought. The drought has severely affected subsistence agriculture, which supports 70% of the population. Crop yields have plummeted, and water reserves are at historic lows, creating a humanitarian crisis in rural communities.
