Karan Fuel Station Opens in Bulawayo

Zanu PF secretary for Administration, Cde. Obert Mpofu has officially opened Karan Fuel Station in Belmont, Bulawayo. The Southern Petroleum Fuel Station is owned by Bulawayo Businessman, who is also Zanu PF Politburo (PB) Member and Secretary for Business Development, Cde Elifasi Mashaba. Southern Petroleum has partnered with Karan group owned by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Deepak Mahajan.

Secretary for Administration, Cde Mpofu in his opening speech said, “I have witnessed a lot of development in other cities of the country, Bulawayo with a 12% Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year, which was not enough because the city used to be an industrial hub and all industries are empty with no investors. I am happy that the Deputy Minister of Industry, Raj Modi has been in business and has survived business regardless of hard conditions and I have also just finished building one of the best hotels in town at number 10, Park road in Khumalo”. 

“Am very happy with this spectacular development which was done in collaboration with our friends from India. May I now, with pleasure and honour, announce that Karan Fuel Station is officially opened”,  said Cde Mpofu. 

PB Member, Cde E Mashaba in his opening remarks said, “this is the first outlet to be opened in Zimbabwe with an agreement that he brings in his company under Southern Petroleum which has been operating for the Past 20 years and they merge with Karan group. 

Mashaba added that, “now going forward and carrying the vision 2030 of His Excellency, President, Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, that we need to be able to achieve a middle income for everyone at the same time developing our place were we are and the only way we can do is try and solicity investors into the country. This is our small way as a company.”

Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 aims to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and create a robust economic foundation for prosperity.
 

The event was attended by the Secretary’ for Administration Cde O. M. Mpofu, PB Member, Cde Mashaba, Deputy Minister of Industry, Hon Raj Modi, Permanent Secretary, Mr Nyoni, Central Committee Member, Cde Chiponda, ZANU- PF Provincials, DCC 5 Chairman Cde M. Nsingo, Cde K. Ngwenya, Directors of Karan fuel station and other business associates.
