ZNLWVA Chairperson Cephas Ncube Celebrates in Style

The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) Chairperson, Cde Cephas Ncube, was honoured with a surprise celebration party in Bulawayo. The event, organized by Cde Tholakele Moyo, Deputy Secretary for Tourism in the Women’s League, commemorated Ncube’s resounding victory in the recent elections.
Central Committee members, Cde Jele, Cde Phuti, Cde Nyamuda, Cde Sibanda, National War Veterans executives, Provincial and district executives attended the celebration, demonstrating their support for the new leader. Cde Ncube expressed heartfelt gratitude, promising to work tirelessly to advance the association’s interests.
Local artists, including the Chairman of Artists for National Development, delivered captivating musical performances that added to the festive atmosphere.
The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) plays a pivotal role in representing the interests of war veterans in Zimbabwe. ZNLWVA focuses on promoting national development and empowering its members.
Cde Cephas Ncube’s election victory marked a significant milestone for the association. Ncube secured 294 votes, defeating notable contenders, such as, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa, Cde Victor Matemadanda, and Cde Albert Ncube, in the elections held in Gweru.
As the new Chairperson, Cde. Ncube has pledged to represent all former freedom fighters and to work diligently to take the association forward. His leadership is expected to prioritize promoting the interests of war veterans and fostering national development.
The ZNLWVA executive committee comprises experienced c6omrades committed to the association’s mission. The executive includes Cde Shorai Nyamangondo as Vice-Chairperson, Cde Joel Murerengwa as Secretary-General, and other dedicated members.
The elective congress that led to Ncube’s election was conducted in accordance with the association’s constitutional requirements, ensuring a democratic and transparent process.
With Cde Ncube at the helm, ZNLWVA is poised to continue its vital work in promoting national development and empowering war veterans.
