Zvarevashe and Moyo Officially Take Oath of Office

Two newly elected Members of Parliament, Hon. Masvingise Zvarevashe (Gutu East) and Hon. Delani Moyo (Insiza North), have officially taken their oath of office and assumed their roles in the National Assembly.

According to Section 128(1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, no MP can begin their duties before taking the oath of office.

The oath is a formal promise to uphold the Constitution and serve the people honestly and faithfully.

In line with Section 128(2), the two MPs subscribed to the oath today, marking the official start of their parliamentary responsibilities.

They are now fully empowered to represent their constituencies and contribute to national decision-making in Parliament.
