Discovery Ambulance Services (DAS), in a groundbreaking partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, will host a landmark Presidential Emergency Medical Scheme (PEMS) outreach program in Epworth this Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Kubatana Primary School.

The event will offer free basic first aid training, medical screenings, consultations, and treatments to residents of Epworth and surrounding areas.

The initiative aims to ensure accessible healthcare for all, addressing gaps in underserved communities.

David Munowenyu, Founder and CEO of DAS, emphasised the effort’s significance:

“Our teams have worked tirelessly in tandem with the Ministry to bring this crucial healthcare outreach to Epworth. I extend a warm invitation to all residents to take advantage of these essential services, which have the potential to improve the health and well-being of our communities.”

Dr. Douglas Mombeshora, Minister of Health and Child Care, echoed this commitment, stating, “As a government, we remain dedicated to ensuring that all Zimbabweans, regardless of location or socio-economic status, can benefit from quality healthcare services.

This outreach program is a prime example of how public-private partnerships can propel us towards a healthier, more equitable future for all.”
