Charamba Clinches Third in Diamond League 200m Debut

Zimbabwean sprinter Makanakaishe Charamba delivered a standout performance in his Diamond League debut, claiming third place in the men’s 200m event held at Stade Louis-II in Monaco, France, on Friday.

Competing against a world-class lineup, Charamba held his own in a race that included Olympic medalists Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and American sprint star Noah Lyles.

Lyles took first place with a time of 19.88 seconds, followed by Tebogo in 19.97 seconds. Charamba secured third, clocking an impressive 19.99 seconds — marking a strong entry onto one of the sport’s most competitive stages.

The Diamond League is a prestigious annual series that features 15 elite track and field meetings across the globe, attracting top-tier athletes from around the world.
