BREAKING: Trump Goes Nuclear on Obama
President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric against former President Barack Obama, accusing him of treason related to alleged efforts to rig the 2016 presidential election.
In a video posted on X, Trump claimed without evidence that Obama led a conspiracy to undermine his campaign and obscure the election results.
“If you look at those papers, they have them stone cold and it was President Obama,” Trump stated in the video.
He further asserted, “It wasn’t lots of people all over the place, it was them too. But the leader of the gang was President Barack Hussein Obama.”
Trump doubled down on his accusations, declaring, “Look, he is guilty. It’s not a question, you know I like to say let us give it time. It’s there he is guilty. This was treason this every word that you can think of they tried to steal the election and obfuscate the elections.”
Trump’s claims are part of a broader narrative revisited by him and his allies, focusing on the 2016 election amidst ongoing controversy over the handling of Jeffrey Epstein files.
The former president mentioned that his Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has indicated that “thousands of additional documents” are forthcoming, which he believes will support his allegations. “And from what Tulsi told me, she’s got thousands of additional documents coming,” he said.
This rhetoric comes in the context of recent assertions by Gabbard that Obama and his national security team engaged in a “treasonous conspiracy” against Trump, a claim that Democrats have dismissed as false and politically motivated.
The accusations are set against a backdrop of tension within Trump’s base, who have been pressuring him to release more information about Epstein, suggesting that the Obama allegations might serve as a distraction from this issue.
Obama’s office has responded sharply to these claims, with a spokesperson calling them “bizarre” and “a weak attempt at distraction.”
The response emphasised that no evidence has been provided to substantiate the treason allegations, aligning with previous statements from Obama’s team that have rejected similar unfounded accusations.
The video and Trump’s statements are part of a pattern where he has repeatedly targeted Obama, especially as he faces criticism and calls for transparency regarding the Epstein files.
This development occurs as the House of Representatives has shut down early until September, partly to avoid voting on the release of these files, further fueling speculation and controversy.
The accusations have reignited debates over the 2016 election and the integrity of intelligence assessments during that period, with no immediate resolution in sight as both sides continue to trade barbs over the lack of evidence and political motivations.
