NAMFED Prepares to Deliver Key Economic Insights to President Mnangagwa
The National Multi-Faith Economic Dialogue (NAMFED) is set to present an economic report before President Mnangagwa on their findings of the National Strategic Development (NDS)-2.
Recently NAMFED held a two-day event at Zanu PF headquarters where they called for increased church participation in the country’s economic development activities.
NAMFED Co-convener Emmanuel Muzhangiri said after taking in the current ongoing NDS-2 consultations being held the country they find it noble to present their findings before President Mnangagwa’s office.
“As NAMFED, we are currently part of the teams taking part on the NDS-2 consultations.
“There is need that NDS-1 life term is coming to an end and we are happy that the consultations are buttressing national vision 2030 agenda.
“So we are now going with our rapporteur, to our President, this is a significant step is us playing a pivotal role as church leaders in economic development activities,” said Muzhangiri.
He said during this presentation to President Mnangagwa, they will present resolutions from the recently held NAMFED convention.
“We came up with challenges, solutions and resolutions to matters affecting the ordinary person and other key sectors of the economy.
“So our report will get His Excellency to understand these issues from us as church leaders.”
Early this week NAMFED appointed senior religious leaders dotted across the country in their advisory board and research, liason and policy wing.
