Shonganiso Primary School in Masvingo Central Constituency became a hive of activity this week as hundreds of residents gathered to receive free medical services under the Presidential Emergency Medical Scheme.

The initiative, which brought smiles and relief to many, is a result of a powerful partnership between Discovery Ambulance Services, the Ministry of Health and Child Care, and the Government of Zimbabwe.

The event stands as a clear example of efforts to make healthcare more accessible to all citizens, especially those in underserved communities.

The outreach program reflects President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s development mantra of “leaving no one and no place behind,” as Zimbabwe moves steadily towards achieving Vision 2030.

Residents expressed gratitude for the timely medical assistance, which included check-ups, treatments, and emergency care services provided by qualified health professionals.

The overwhelming response to the initiative highlights the deep need for such community-based healthcare programs and reaffirms President Mnangagwa’s commitment to ensuring that every Zimbabwean, regardless of location or circumstance, receives quality health services.

The event marks another milestone in the government’s broader push for equitable healthcare and improved social services across the nation.
