CZR Rallies Behind ZDF

The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) has applauded the pivotal role played by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) in safeguarding the nation’s interests and contributing to economic growth.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Defence Forces Day celebrations, CZR President Dr. Denford Mutashu said the association supports national initiatives that celebrate and assist the country’s forces.

He noted that the bravery and discipline of the forces are significant to the retail, wholesale, and business sectors.

“We value this relationship and actively honour their role in protecting our sovereignty, peace, and stability. CZR does not just acknowledge their sacrifice — we act. We rally our members to support national initiatives that celebrate and assist our forces, from Defence Forces Day commemorations to projects that improve community welfare,” said Dr. Mutashu.

He added that CZR contributes through resource mobilisation and the provision of goods and services.

“We stand ready to assist in times of need, whether during national celebrations or in emergency situations. We also promote and ensure that retailers and wholesalers are visible and involved in efforts that uplift the livelihoods of our servicemen and women.

“Our advocacy work pushes for the retail and wholesale sector to remain a reliable partner to those who safeguard our well-being, in line with the national drive towards Vision 2030,” said Dr. Mutashu.

Dr. Mutashu concluded that CZR’s message is clear: we honour, we support, and we work with the Defence Forces to build a stronger, united Zimbabwe
