ZDF the Pillar Behind Our Safety: Cde Chinomona

Senate President and Women’s League boss, Senator Mabel Chinomona, has applauded the role played by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) in ensuring the security, safety, and well-being of every Zimbabwean.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Defence Forces Celebrations, Sen. Chinomona said the ZDF has proved to be a focused, resilient, and determined force both in the region and beyond.

“We are a free nation, and we need to honour and salute our forces. There is peace in Zimbabwe because our Defence Forces have ensured that we live freely our children, youths, and the elderly alike.

As the Women’s League, we carry out our programmes in both urban and rural areas, and our forces have made sure these programmes are conducted without fear,” said Sen. Chinomona.

She noted that over the years, the ZDF has made significant strides in empowering the girl child and women in rural communities.

“Our forces have worked with women in rural areas, facilitating and assisting in the construction of schools and hospitals.

Today, as we celebrate our Defence Forces, let us, as a nation, salute these hardworking men and women who ensure the safety of our livelihoods.

They are the pillar behind our safety and our economic development.”
