Man fatally stabs wife
Harare police have arrested a man who, in a fit of rage, went berserk and fatally stabbed his wife over allegations of infidelity.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the tragic incident, which occurred on 11 August 2025.
“Police in Mabelreign arrested Tinashe Turamai (27) in connection with a murder case in which he allegedly stabbed his wife, Marita Nyamunda (21), in the stomach and neck with a kitchen knife, accusing her of having an extramarital affair,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
He said that, in an unrelated incident on the same day, a burglar killed the owner of a house he had broken into.
“Police in Kuwadzana arrested Bigboy Majenje (42) in connection with a murder case in which he allegedly broke into a house in Kuwadzana 5.
“He was confronted by the owner, Amos Pearson (58), and a fight ensued, resulting in Pearson’s death,” Commissioner Nyathi added.
