Harare, August 28, 2025 – Air Zimbabwe will operate daily return flights between Harare and Mutare from September 8 to 14 to accommodate travelers attending the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel Expo in Mutare.

The Expo, which runs from September 10 to 12 is one of Zimbabwe’s largest tourism showcases and is expected to draw exhibitors and delegates from across the region.

Air Zimbabwe Chief Executive Officer Edmund Makona said the route would be introduced as a trial to gauge demand. “This is a pilot operation. We are testing the market and exploring whether the service can become a permanent part of our network,’’Makona said.

The new service will allow travelers to connect between Victoria Falls, Harare and Mutare, with onward access to regional and international flights via Harare.

The airline has collaborated with the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, Airports Company of Zimbabwe, National Handling Services and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority to ensure readiness for the operation. Online ticket payments will be available through PayNow.
