We are the pillar of Vision 2030: Women’s League Boss

Senate President and Zanu PF Women’s League leader, Cde Mabel Chinomona, has called on President Emmerson Mnangagwa to implement a range of comprehensive measures that will see women across the country being appointed to positions of governance and empowerment, thereby achieving Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030.

Speaking at the launch of the Presidential poultry scheme at St Paul’s Musami Mission, Senator Chinomona said women continues to be the backbone of Zanu PF prior to and post-independence.
“We are Comrades of the liberation struggle, and age is not on our side.
“As Zanu a new is in the making under Zanu PF Young Women’s 4ED is on the rise.

Your Excellency, President Dr Mnangagwa, we stand with you on the empowerment projects you have brought before us.
“As women, we stand with your office for providing us with various empowerment projects.

She said it is time for the country’s highest office to look at the next generation of women who did not participate in the liberation struggle. “We can never hide from the truth; we are getting old, and the next generation of women needs to be empowered.

“Our position stands, through President Mnangagwa, we urge our future generation of women to be empowered,” said Senator Chinomona.
The event saw hordes of women under the Young Women 4ED receiving day-old chicks, feed and training support to boost household income. Senate Chinomona said this initiative will promote food security and empower women to operate sustainable poultry projects.
