Warriors head coach Michael Nees has announced a 24-man squad for Zimbabwe’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda in September.

The squad sees the return of defender Brandon Galloway, who has recovered from injury, while Finnish-based midfielder Prosper Padera earns his first senior call-up.

Notable absentees include Khama Billiat and Marley Tavaziva, both ruled out through injury, while Andy Rinomhota will miss out as he finalises a club move.

The selected squad includes: Goalkeepers: Washington Arubi (Marumo Gallants), Elvis Chipezeze (Magesi), Martin Mapisa (MWOS)

Defenders: Gerald Takwara (Al Mina), Munashe Garananga (FC Copenhagen), Teenage Hadebe (FC Cincinnati), Brandon Galloway (Plymouth Argyle), Godknows Murwira (Scottland FC), Emanuel Jalai (Dynamos FC), Jordan Zemura (Udinese), Divine Lunga (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Midfielders: Marshall Munetsi (Wolves), Marvellous Nakamba (Luton Town), Jonah Fabisch (Erzgebirge Aue), Sean Fusire (Sheffield Wednesday), Prosper Padera (SJK – Finland), Tawanda Chirewa (Wolves), Knowledge Musona (Scottland FC).

Forwards: Terrence Dzvukamanja (Scottland FC), Bill Antonio (KV Mechelen), Walter Musona (Scottland FC), Tino Kadewere (Aris Saloniki), Thando Ngwenya (Amazulu).

Zimbabwe will face Benin and Rwanda in back-to-back Group C fixtures as they continue their push for a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
