14 Foreign Nationals Nabbed in Drug Bust

In a swift operation, reactive police units apprehended 14 foreign nationals at a residence in Highlands, Harare, where they were allegedly caught using cocaine.

National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrest, stating that investigations are still ongoing.

“On 2 September 2025, detectives from the CID Drugs and Narcotics in Harare arrested 14 foreign nationals for drug abuse and dealing at a lodge on Knightsbridge Road, Highlands, Harare. The suspects were caught sniffing cocaine from a wooden tray. Police recovered two sachets of cocaine, one sachet of crystal meth, and another containing a mixture of cocaine and crystal meth,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

In a related case, Commissioner Nyathi reported that on 1 September 2025, police in Beitbridge arrested 44-year-old bus conductor Last Chiyangwa after discovering a suitcase containing 24 cobs of dagga in the luggage compartment of a bus at the Beitbridge Border Post.

“Police investigations led to the arrest of Studymore Marimo, 44, in Harare after he received the suitcase,” he added.
