Mai TT Produces Historic African Movie with Nigerian Stars

Socialite Felistas Murata, popularly known as Mai TT, has made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean to produce an African Movie featuring top Nigerian actors.
The film, titled Lost in Ashes featuring renowned Nigerian talents such as Mike Ezuruonye, Chinyere Wilfred, Mike Godson, Anita Joseph, Joy Patrick Ezeike, among others.
Speaking about the project on her facebook page, Mai TT said,”This was the most expensive production since it was not in my country, but I am grateful I have people who supported me through it all.
I am thankful to my husband, who did most of the financing, as well as my son Leo, who chipped in too, and my family members. Above all, I want to thank Omas Studios, if not for them making sure my dream came true, I would not be here today.”
She further explained that the upcoming premiere is a gateway for greater opportunities, “The most important thing has been successfully achieved now with the premiere, this is where I open doors for companies who want to be a part of the journey.”
This collaboration goes beyond being just a movie premiere as it represents a cultural milestone that highlights the strengthening bond between the Nigerian and Zimbabwean film industries.
It also marks a significant step toward deeper collaboration, artistic exchange, and the celebration of African storytelling on a broader scale.
Zimbabweans are buzzing with excitement ahead of the premiere, with audiences eagerly anticipating the historic release. Her fans have also expressed overwhelming support.
One excited follower stated,”I have already told my boss there is going to be a funeral in my family on the 27th of September, she has already booked a flight for me to go to Zim.”
Another added,”Well done, you are turning ashes into beauty, Feli. You truly are a force to be reckoned with, and the Lord is making room for you among the great.”
Tickets for this historic premiere are available at Shop Number 5, Samora Mall (between 4th and 5th Street, opposite N1 Hotel). The dress code is elegant or attire with a touch of African culture.
