Zimbabwe Warriors have dropped nine places in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings, recording the biggest fall among all nations in this month’s update.

The Warriors now face increased pressure to improve results and regain their standing in international football.

The latest rankings also saw Spain rise to the top with 1,875.37 points following back-to-back wins, overtaking France, who sit second with 1,870.92 points. Argentina slipped to third after losing 15.04 points, while England remain fourth and Portugal fifth. Brazil dropped to sixth after a points loss.

Italy moved into the top 10, climbing one place to tenth, displacing Germany, who fell three positions to 12th. Slovakia achieved the biggest gains in both points and ranking, climbing 25.31 points and 10 places. Conversely, the Central African Republic recorded the largest points decline, losing 26.18.

A total of 215 international matches were played during this ranking period, with Madagascar and Morocco leading in activity, each featuring in nine fixtures. Eritrea remains inactive and unranked.

Zimbabwe’s nine-place drop highlights the challenges facing the national team, including inconsistent performances and limited competitive fixtures. Football authorities and fans are now calling for urgent action to improve results and regain lost ground.
