Innscr Africa’s subsidiary, The Buffalo Brewing Company (TBBC), is exploring plans to set up a new brewery plant to address growing customer demand for its Nyathi sorghum beer.

Innscr, one of Zimbabwe’s largest conglomerates, is a group of light manufacturing businesses complemented by integrated agricultural operations, producing some of the nation’s well-known consumer staple brands.

TBBC Managing Director Richard Mann unveiled the potential expansion during the launch of the company’s brand campaign, titled “For Those Who Craft Their Own Path.”

Mann explained that the proposed brewery would help increase production capacity, better serve customers, and strengthen TBBC’s share of the domestic sorghum beer market.

“Nyathi is one of Zimbabwe’s iconic brands, and we aim to maintain a strong connection with our market. Currently, we hold the second-largest share among sorghum beer producers in the country. Expanding our operations will allow us to grow further and meet rising demand,” Mann said.

The additional production capacity is expected to reduce backlogs, improve delivery timelines, stay ahead of competitors, and support long-term growth objectives.

The “For Those Who Craft Their Own Path” campaign, launched on September 12 under the hashtag #CraftYourOwnPath, celebrates hardworking Zimbabweans—dreamers, builders, and doers—who shape their future through dedication, grit, and perseverance.

“Our consumers are our heroes; they create their own opportunities, and this campaign is dedicated to them. Nyathi is brewed with the same care, craft, and conviction as the people we serve,” Mann said.

The campaign launch attracted key stakeholders, media personnel, creatives, and brand partners.

TBBC, founded in 2021, marked Innscor Africa’s first venture into the broader alcoholic beverages sector. The company introduced Nyathi into the opaque beer market in December 2022 with a 1.25-litre sorghum beer. In March 2024, it expanded its offerings with the Nyathi Baobab flavour variant, adding a bold and innovative option for consumers.
