The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has introduced a confidential Ethics Line, a new mechanism designed to promote integrity and transparency within the country’s football structures.

The initiative, which is being managed independently by Axcentium, allows players, coaches, officials, and the public to report misconduct, unethical behaviour, or breaches of policy without fear of reprisal.

ZIFA said the Ethics Line is part of its wider reforms aimed at safeguarding the game and creating an environment where trust and accountability can flourish.

“The Ethics Line ensures that all forms of misconduct can be reported impartially and in confidence. This reinforces our commitment to protecting the integrity of football and all those who are involved in it,” the association said in a statement.

The service is already operational and will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It provides multiple channels for reporting, including toll-free numbers across all major mobile networks:

Reports can be made securely, and individuals may choose to remain anonymous. ZIFA has also assured stakeholders that all submissions will be treated seriously, fairly, and confidentially under its strict non-retaliation policy.

Football analysts say the move could play a key role in tackling long-standing governance challenges in Zimbabwean football, including allegations of corruption, poor administration, and abuse of power.

ZIFA urged all stakeholders to make use of the platform, stressing that building a culture of ethical conduct is essential for the development of the game.

“Together we can ensure that football thrives in an environment of trust, accountability, and respect,” the statement added
