Fortunate Tibu and Chiedza Janet Tariro Munyoro  have joined hands to confront their mutual lover and business associate, Nobert Chifeya, after discovering that he had allegedly been romantically involved with more than a dozen women while still married to Ellen Mutasa.

The unexpected alliance between the two began when they uncovered what they describe as Nobert’s “double life,” involving multiple relationships and false claims, including telling some women that his wife had passed away.

Fortunate, a police officer based at Chitungwiza Police Camp Clinic, reportedly partnered with Nobert to open an unregistered maternity facility known as Mbuya Nyarai Clinic in Budiriro 5B. The clinic, however, was short-lived  it was closed by health authorities only a few months after opening, though several babies were delivered there during its brief operation.

After learning of Nobert’s alleged infidelity and deceptive dealings, both Fortunate and Chiedza took legal steps against him, accusing him of fraud and emotional abuse.

Nobert Responds to Allegations

When contacted for comment, Nobert admitted to being romantically involved with Fortunate but denied exploiting her.

“I am a married man, but I fell in love with Fortunate. We opened a clinic together and managed a few deliveries before it was shut down,” he said. “The equipment came from both Fortunate and Chiedza. When they later discovered my other relationships, they teamed up against me. Fortunate used her position in the police to intimidate me, and Chiedza claimed political connections. They even brought in a relative pretending to be an intelligence officer, but he turned out to be a security guard.”

Fortunate and Chiedza Speak Out

Fortunate expressed regret over the failed relationship and business venture.

“I wanted to build my own clinic, and Nobert offered to help. I took out loans and even sold my car to raise funds for equipment. Later, I found out his wife was still alive  everything he told me was a lie,” she said.

Chiedza, who also claims to have suffered financial loss, described Nobert as manipulative.

“He knows how to charm women for his own gain. I lost a lot of money believing his promises, not realizing he had many other lovers,” she explained.

Wife Reacts to the Scandal

Nobert’s wife, Ellen Mutasa, to whom he has been married for 14 years, expressed outrage and fatigue over the repeated scandals.

“My husband is a habitual womaniser. This is not the first time he’s been exposed. We have three children, and I’m tired of seeing him embarrass the family. Those women should have checked the facts before trusting him,” she said.

Reports suggest that Nobert previously gained notoriety for allegedly dating nine women simultaneously a number that has now reportedly grown to fifteen.
